Sources
The enjoyment of the right to adequate housing is contingent upon
the existence of legal measures to ensure the enforcement of rights
and the availability of remedies. This will include the availability of
court-ordered injunctions to prevent forced evictions and demolitions,
the availability of compensation following a forced eviction, legal
procedures to support complaints against landlords in relation to rent
levels, dwelling maintenance, inadequate housing conditions or
discrimination, processes to support allegations of discrimination in
the allocation or availability of housing.
