2.7 Location Sources Adequate housing must be located in areas which provide ample access for occupants to economic opportunities and other services such as education and healthcare. In cases where these opportunities and services are dislocated from housing developments, sufficient transport services must be available to provide such access, at a cost not disproportionate to the incomes of occupants. Housing should not be located in immediate proximity to pollution sources or in areas which would subject occupants to the effects of pollution. 2.8 ICESCR, art. 11(1) GC IV, para. 8(f) Cultural Adequacy Sources The construction of adequate housing must be accomplished in accordance with the cultural requirements of those groups for whom it is designed.
