To identify, discuss, and prioritise key strategic priorities for the NHRI’s
gender strategy.

Large sheets of paper or whiteboard, Sticky notes (three colours), marker pens,
voting dots or stickers, pre-prepared question.
Outcomes of the Gender Audit and other relevant data.

Setting the scene
Explain the purpose of the exercise - to identify the NHRI’s strategic gender priorities.
Overview the definition of a Strategic Priority:

high-level, long-term focus area that sets out where the NHRI will concentrate
its efforts to achieve its vision and purpose for gender equality.

hare examples of strategic gender priorities as a guide.
Question: What must our NHRI focus on over the next 3–5 years to advance
gender equality?
10 minutes
Brainstorming
Give each participant three sticky notes (one colour).
Ask them to write one potential priority per sticky note.
Encourage concise, action-oriented statements (e.g. Integrate gender
equality into all organisational policies).
15 minutes
Clustering
In groups of 3–4, participants

hare their sticky notes.

iscuss overlapping ideas.

luster similar priorities together.

gree on their top three priorities to share back with the larger group.
