HUMAN RIGHTS MODULE FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL Implementation steps 1. The students are divided into 3 groups: A, B and C. Each group is given a different role: Group Role Character Group A Bully The bullies (Group A) will chase the victims (Group B) and try to touch the victims using their hands. Group B Victim The victims must make an effort to avoid being touched by the bullies. Group C Supervisor The duty of the supervisors changes according to the situation as stated in the step below. 2. This game must be completed in 4 rounds. Each round will be played according to the directions below. An interval of one minute is fixed before the start of the next round. First round : The supervisor helps the bully by blocking the victim’s path so that the victim cannot escape from the bully. The supervisor must not touch or push the victim. Second round : The supervisor does not do anything with regard to the situation and allows the bully to get to the victim. Third round : The supervisor protects the victim by placing himself/herself between the bully and the victim. The supervisor must not touch or push the bully (rough play is forbidden). Fourth round : The supervisor draws a straight line at a distance of 15 - 25 metres from the other students. The victim must reach the supervisor within 15 seconds and touch his/her hand to avoid being caught by the bully. The supervisor must not move except to put out his/her hand and to encourage the victim to reach him/her as quickly as possible. As soon as the victim reaches the supervisor, the victim must get behind the line drawn by the supervisor where he/she will be safe from being caught by the bully. 23
