सव भव तु सिखनः ु Annual Report 2022-23 Tamil Nadu, whereby, it was submi ed that the complainant was suffering from psychiatric disease and was undergoing medical treatment from Medical College Hospital, Thiruvarur, Tamil Nadu. It was further stated that enquiries were made from various persons along with the husband of the complainant and their statements were recorded in wri ng who all asserted the fact that the complainant was a mentally affected person and the complaint was false and exaggerated. It was further stated that based on the enquiry report, the pe on of the complainant was closed. A reasonable me, beyond the due date given by the Commission to the complainant for submission of her comments elapsed and her comments are s ll awaited. As per report, the allega ons made by the complainant could not be substan ated during inves ga on and as per statements given by the family members, she was also suffering from some mental illness. A copy of the report was transmi ed to the complainant, who did not responded ll date. The requisite ac on was taken by the Commission. The complainant did not controvert the report. In these circumstances, no further interven on by the Commission was required to be taken in the ma er. The Commission thereby closed the ma er on 24 February 2023. 3.) Medical negligence and trafficking of organs in District Howrah, West Bengal seen some opera on marks and suspected of trafficking of organs like kidney, liver, etc. The Complainant quesoned the hospital authori es regarding the medical negligence of 15 days and not informing about the death and health condi on of the pa ent. The police did not provide any complaint copy and no ac on was taken further. The Complainant stated that the hospitals were involved in immoral trafficking of child and human organs. The Complainant a ached Health Card, and Hospital Admit Card of the pa ent. A report dated 15 March 2021 was received from the Addi onal District Magistrate (General), Howrah, along with a copy of the le er received from CMO, Health, wherein it is stated that one writ pe on 583(W) of 2020 was filed in the Calcu a High Court, wherein order dated 23 December 2020 was passed by the Hon'ble Divisional Bench for second post mortem and DNA test to be conducted at R.G. Kar Medical Hospital, Kolkata. Contempt pe on was also pending in the Hon'ble High Court. It was further stated that the case was pending in the Calcu a High Court. In view of the fact that the ma er was sub judice in the Hon'ble High Court of Calcu a and non-submission of any comments from the complainant to the report submi ed by the concerned authority, the Commission was of the opinion that no further interven on of the Commission was required in the present ma er. (Case No. 962/25/9/2020) The Complainant stated that on 15 April 2020 at 12:30 p.m., he admi ed his pregnant daughter, at Uluberia S.D Hospital for delivery. At First, hospital authori es asked for corona test, the pa ent was shi ed to Sanjeevan Hospital where authori es stated that the mother and baby were healthy. The Complainant was not allowed to meet his daughter and grandchild and was asked to meet them later. The Complainant, through poli cal assistance, asked the ward master about mee ng his daughter and grandchild on 01 May 2020, he was informed about the death of his daughter on 20 April 2020 and provided Death Cer ficate. The Complainant accused gross negligence on the part of hospital authori es by not informing the pa ent's family. He was forced to sign the death acknowledgment slip without even iden fying the dead body. When he asked for the grandchild, the hospital authori es denied.
