Information on the Implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in the Republic of Korea 9.2 Lack of understanding of the provision of reasonable accommodation for institutionalized persons with disabilities 1) Current status and problems ① The Initial Report provides an explanation on the protection of rights of inmates pursuant to the Administration and Treatment of Correctional Institution Inmates Act, but fails to provide information on the current status of inmates with disabilities (number of total inmates with disabilities or inmates by type of disability, etc.) or the accommodations provided to them (for instance, books in Braille for inmates with visual disability).
