Ensure that in case Magistrate considers it expedient to make an examination of the dead body of any person, who has been already interred, in order to discover the cause of his death, the Magistrate may cause the body to be disinterred and examined. 4. Ensure that while conducting such an enquiry, wherever practicable, the known relatives of the deceased are duly informed and such persons are allowed to remain present during the enquiry. 5. Ensure that the body of the deceased is forwarded to the nearest Civil Surgeon or other qualified Government authorized medical man for examination of the dead body. 6. Ensure that if the body cannot be forwarded for medical examination within 24 hours, the reasons for the same are to be recorded in writing. Ensure that in all cases of unatural death in jail apart from a post-mortem, a Magisterial inquiry is conducted immediately.
