HUMAN RIGHTS MODULE FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL Implementation steps 1. The students are divided into small groups of 2 or 3. 2. The students are instructed to read and understand all the articles provided. 3. The students are then told that each article contains one or two words that are hidden and must be identified. 4. The word search handouts are then distributed to the students so that they can find the hidden words based on the articles. 5. Students are given 20 to 30 minutes to complete the activity. 6. Upon completion, the students exchange their handouts with another group to be checked. Discussion/Presentation 7. The students are given the answers for checking and marks are given based on the number of correct answers. 8. At the end of the game, the students are given the opportunity to provide their selfreflection on the hidden words that they encountered in the activity. Conclusion 9. The teacher concludes the day’s lesson by stressing the rights of the child as well as human rights learned from the lesson. 10. The teacher needs to apply the values learned from the lesson. 11. The teacher can share additional information and specific facts concerning human rights. 80
