10) Recommendations on freedom of religion 1 issue :
NHRCT has suggested that the Chiang Mai governor expedite the investigation
and make the communities aware of the freedom of religion as certified and protected in the
Constitution, including finding a way to consider or screen any rules or regulations issued by
the community to prevent the rules or regulations issued that are against the rules. Law and
Human Rights and the Fang Sheriff to organize a dialogue with community leaders and
community people who have disputes on the issue of freedom of religion.
Results/Achievements:
Chiang Mai Province assigned Fang District to investigate the facts and arrange a
meeting to clarify, build an understanding for those involved in the community to know the
rights under the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand, and this meeting disputed
communities by community leaders community committees and village people. Both Buddhists
and Christians have jointly reviewed the original agreement and came up with an agreement
on a new guideline for Christian community activities until the end of all parties.
11) Rights and Person Status 1 issue: NHRCT has recommendations for the
Council of Ministers to formulate guidelines and protect ethnic groups in Thailand so that they
can coexist peacefully. and maintain identity without violation of human rights.
Results/Achievements:
Cabinet by relevant agencies has solved the problem. In the case of Sakai or Mani
ethnic groups within the framework of the law, such as the granting of basic rights to public
health, educational rights, currently the government has assigned the Sirindhorn Anthropology
Center. (Public Organization) is the main agency. In preparing the draft Act on Promotion and
Conservation of Ethnic Lifestyles B.E. .... to solve ethnic problems systematically.
The Office of the NHRCT considers that the relevant agencies have taken action
following or under the recommendations of the NHRCT. Although some government agencies
may not be able to comply with the recommendations of the NHRCT there is a justifiable
reason. All 53 reports have been approved to end the follow-up actions under the Regulation
of the National Human Rights Commission on Criteria and Procedures for Investigating
Violations of Human Rights B.E. 2561 (2018), Article 42, and Regulations. The National Human
Rights Commission on the follow-up of Human Rights Actions, B.E. 2564 (2021), Article 22,
