POLICY DECISIONS
In total, 7 Commission Meetings of NHRC
were held in 2014. In those meetings
JAMAKON took the following policy
decisions:
1. Laws and Reports
In the 26th Commission Meeting, the
recommendations on the draft proposed
Child Marriage Restraint Act was
approved. It was sent to the MOWCA
after incorporating the suggestions of
the stakeholders meeting. In the 30th
Commission Meeting, the draft CHRI
guideline, the Draft Rules on Mediation
and Conciliation, and BNHRC Shadow
Report to UNCAT were in principle
approved by JAMAKON. On the 31st
Commission Meeting, the BNHRC Shadow
Report to UNCAT was finally approved.
2. Seminars and Workshops
In the 27th Commission Meeting,
JAMAKON decided to organize awareness
raising
program, so that human
organs cannot be immorally taken
for transplantation and traded. In the
same meeting, JAMAKON approved the
proposals for organizing seminars on
UPR, Business and Human Rights, Women
Rights, CHT issues, disability issues, and
the UN Convention on the Rights of Older
