Activity 2. When To Be Concerned
Training Module on the Right to Mental Health in the Academe
Purpose:
To identify warning signs that educators need to recognize in
students
Materials:
Powerpoint, projector
Time:
25 minutes
Instruction:
Discuss the different parameters used for assessing the mental
health of students along the mental health continuum.
People with mental illness can flourish and lead productive lives. Conversely,
those who do not have any mental illness may experience stress and have
poor coping skills, requiring much support. It is important to use the guide
provided accordingly to identify indicators that can aid in assessing the mental
status of the student. Answering YES to some of the questions may indicate a
need for referral.
