  A team from WESS, led by Mr. Waqas Kasi visited NCHR Regional Office Quetta and met with Member Balochistan where they discussed how GIZ and WESS were looking for Community Based Skill Training Centers to support technically to enhance their capacity. Upon their request, Member Balochistan nominated some CBSTC’s including minorities and refugee communities. NCHR Balochistan team and Member Minority visited Churches, Mandirs, and Gurdawaras in Quetta during their visit to Quetta and engaged with minority leaders. RIGHTS OF MARGINALISED GROUPS (TRANSGENDER COMMUNITY):      Attended one-day multi-stakeholder sensitization workshop on Pakistan’s transgender law and its implementation in Balochistan on 5th March 2022 organised by iProbono and Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) in Quetta. Member Balochistan participated in a one-day sensitization workshop on Pakistan’s transgender law and its implementation in Balochistan, held at Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering, and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) organised by iProbono. Transgender community leaders participated in a focus group discussion organised by NCHR Regional Office Quetta on 13th June to discuss issues related to the transgender community. On the 29th of September Regional Office Balochistan held a consultative meeting with transgender persons to discuss different ways of emancipation. Some small-scale local donor offered to help them; they are to suggest interventions that could rid them of their begging and help them make a respectable living. Five participants expressed their interest according to their skills. A transgender person was given a professional DSLR camera by Member Balochistan to help them polish their skills and to live a respectable life. Transgender community leader Ms. Komal Afridi and Mr. Mehtab visited NCHR Regional Office Quetta and held a meeting with Member Balochistan. A discussion was held around the admissions of transgender community members in Welfare and Empowerment Board, Balochistan for skills training. After coordination with Welfare and Empowerment Board, Member Balochistan convinced the Board regarding admissions of transgender persons and nominated them for skills training at their Training Center. LABOUR RIGHTS:   Member Balochistan had a meeting with Sultan Muhammad Khan, President of All Pakistan Labor Federation (APLF) to discuss miner safety, mining accidents and reasons, and miner security, issues, and concerns.
