Provide detailed information on the measures taken and further plans of the government to improve intercity mobility of persons with disabilities, including the installation of wheelchair boarding facilities and the introduction of low-floor bus. 35. Provide detailed information on the measures taken by the government to improve accessibility of persons with disabilities to airplane and ferry as a follow up to the Commission’s 2016 policy recommendation. 36. Provide detailed information on the access to internet, mobile use and the media for persons with visual and hearing impairments, and legal and financial measures adopted, and plans of the government to ensure the access to information for persons with disabilities. 37. Specify whether information on products for daily use, such as electronics, medicine and medical supplies, food and basic necessities, are accessible through Braille and text-tospeech barcode for printed material; and provide measures taken by the government and its futures plans to further improve access to such products. Article 11- Situations of Risks and Humanitarian Emergencies Current status 38. The CRPD expressed its concern about the absence of specific strategies in accessible formats for all persons with disabilities for situations of emergencies, including natural disasters. In response to the concern, the Korean government has amended the Framework Act on the Management of Disasters and Safety (FAMDS) on 17 January 2017. The Framework Act is now revised to include children, older persons and disabled persons in the national safety management framework strategy. 11
