sent letter to Police Commissioner, Gazipur Metropolitan Police to implement the
order of the court. The Police Commissioner informed that they arranged for mediation
between the parties in presence of local Ward Commissioner and the children got a
room in their home.

On 02 November 2021 media reported that 16 years old Jibon Mia was
physically disabled. His height was 35" and weight 30kg. His poor parents could
not even buy a wheelchair for him due to poverty. As per NHRC’s recommendation,
Social Service Officer of Kendua, Netrokona provided a wheelchair and financial
assistance to Jibon Mia.

On 11 January 2022, Bangladesh Overseas Employment And Services Ltd. and the
Ministry of Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment published an advertisement
on recruitment of female garments operator in Jordan, female domestic helper in
Hongkong and worker in South Korea under Employment permit C Stem project. In
the advertisement, information regarding air fare and other expenditure of selected
employees under EPS project was missing. NHRC believes that this will give
opportunity to fraud people to harass the selected persons. Thus, NHRC sent letter to
Managing Director, Bangladesh Overseas Employment and Services Ltd. The
Managing Director informed about the cost and also informed that they were
circulating Public Advertisement mentioning the total cost and they would keep it mind
in future so that all information might be included.

On 11 January 2022 media reported about mismanagement in Shahjahal
International Airport. Migrants were facing trouble in the airport in many ways.
Shortage of trolley and mosquito infestation has been a matter of concern. NHRC
sent letter to Chairman of Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh to take action for
reducing the trouble of passengers and inform the Commission. The Chairman of
Civil Aviation Authority sent report mentioning that they had taken action
accordingly and Aviation Security was supervising 24 hours so that no passenger
face any trouble. They explained that shortage of trolley was raised due to schedule
change of fights. However, now there is no shortage. And all necessary steps had
been taken to prevent mosquito infestation.
