Complaint No. Suo Moto Dha 01/21 On 16th January 2021, media reported that an old widow woman named Moyuri had no one to support her. She went to local Chairman for getting age-old allowance card. But he asked money for that. NHRC sent letter to UNO, Ghatail, Tangail to investigate the matter and sent report to NHRC. The UNO sent report that Ms. Moyuri had received age old allowance card and she had received some amount of her allowance. Complaint No. Suo Moto Dha 10/22 On 30 January 2022, media reported that Bulbul Islam was languishing in Jail despite being innocent. NHRC sent letter to Senior Secretary, Public Security Division, Ministry of Home Affairs to identity the persons who are involved with this and take action accordingly. NHRC received report that Court Police Inspector of Sadar Court, Mymensingh had been instructed to submit report after investigation and in his report, Bulbul Islam was found innocent and his neighbor Harun and Hashem were involved in preparing fake arrest warrant due to personal conflict with Bulbul Islsm. Officer-in-Charge of Trishal, Mymensingh was instructed to take action. 3.7 Success in other Complaints Complaint No. – Dha. 55/21 Mr. ‘A’ lodged complaint at NHRC that his son Masum (16) had been missing for two years. In 2020, he got a letter mentioning that his son was kept in State Children Home (Boys) in Uttar Pradesh, India. He talked to his son over phone. He wanted NHRC’s intervention in getting his son back to Bangladesh. NHRC sent letter to the High Commissioner of Bangladesh to New Delhi, India to take necessary action Copy of the letter was also sent to Senior Secretary of Security Services Division and Senior Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed NHRC that Masum had returned to Bangladesh with the help of Bangladesh High Commission in India. Complaint No.-Dha .67/21 Mr. A lodged complaint that he was employed at ESCORP Apparel Ltd. The authority of that company suspended him for no reason and kept his ID card. They even didn’t pay GPF and other dues. He wanted NHRC’s intervention in getting his dues back. NHRC sent letter to Escorp Apparel Ltd. to send report.
