UPR info an INGO. This enabled the Permanent Mission of Bangladesh in Geneva to portray a balanced picture of the human rights situation in Bangladesh. Moreover, NHRC had an opportunity to exchange its views with other stakeholders and delivered statement in the pre-session. It is another critical engagement of NHRC in the promotion and protection of human rights. We believe that a comprehensive Action Plan should be in place in line with the UPR recommendations as well as aligning SDG’s and the development plan of Bangladesh (FYP). This will help NHRC in making decisions effectively and continue advocacy on the promotion and protection of human rights. Lastly, we hope that UPR will play a significant role in the promotion and protection of human rights for all.
