Typically, Tier 3 interventions are individualized and delivered by trained mental health clinicians, often in one-on-one settings. As with Tier 2 interventions, Tier 3 interventions use problem-solving strategies that accurately match students’ presenting needs to evidence-based treatments. Tier 3 interventions are distinguished from Tier 2 interventions by their intensity and duration. 18
