ACTIVITIES RELATED TO CLIMATE CHANGE     Meeting with Seema Shaikh, Deputy Director Environment & Climate Change, to discuss how the Sindh Government can mitigate the challenges on environmental issues. NCHR and The Knowledge Forum (TKF) organised a consultation on the Sindh Climate Change Policy. Member Sindh attended a press conference organised by the Urban Resource Center (URC) on the subject of forecast rain and upcoming challenges affecting the residents of Gujar Nala Manzoor Colony Nala and Orangi Nala. Attended hearing in Tribunal Court on environment issues. MEETINGS WITH CIVIL SOCIETY AND NON-GOVT ORGANISATIONS                    NCHR met with members of civil society from the Joint Action Committee (JAC) where NCHR Member Sindh chaired the meeting as the keynote speaker and shared developments regarding the Nazim Jokhio case. Action items regarding the case were discussed. Member Sindh was invited by SZABIST to an event as a keynote speaker. Member Sindh participated in a consultation meeting held by the SHRC. The meeting goal was to develop information-sharing mechanisms, complaint referral mechanisms, and to improve the efficacy of the Commission’s performance. Participated in a cultural program at KPC Meeting with M. Yameen, CEO MDF, regarding NCHR assistance for SCSW cooperation Meeting with the civil society and WAF on janitorial issues and challenges. Meeting with Mr. Qazi Khizar, Vice Chairperson Sindh HRCP, on extra judicial incidents. Invited by the Legal Rights Forum (LRF) as a panelist for an event regarding social and human rights issues at SZABIST. Meeting with Dr. Raza Ali Girdazi from Shehri Organization to discuss right to information. Attended council member meeting at HRCP office. Participated in Aurat March program and rallies organised by civil societies. Member Sindh invited as guest speaker in a seminar organised by AKU. Visited the Urban Resource Center and met with Mr. Arif Husain. Participated in a program on the subject of janitorial challenges at the Urban Resource Center (URC) office. Participated in the “Veil Up” documentary at Arts Council organized by the SCSW Participated in a book launch at KPC by Dr. Tousef Ahmed Khan Was invited by the National Commission for Justice and Peace (NCJP) as a guest speaker for an event regarding hate speech.
