Chapter 6: Annual Financial Statement Annual Financial Statement is the statement of actual income and expenditure of the NHRC during a financial year. As the financial year starts from July 1 and ends in June 30 of the succeeding year, it is not possible for the NHRC to present a financial statement of the 12 months of the year 2015. Therefore, financial statement of the fiscal year 2014 - 2015 is presented in the annual report of 2015. In the financial year 2015 - 2016, the NHRC received the allotment of 3,82,21,000taka from the Government of Bangladesh and it has spent 1,39,50,126 taka till December 2015. It got no money from local authorities for the year 2015-2016. Audit of Statement: the Annual According to section 26 (2) of the NHRC Act, the accounts of the Commission shall be audited by the Comptroller and Auditor-General of Bangladesh every year and a copy of the audit report shall be submitted to the Government and to the Commission. The NHRC could not present an audited annual financial statement of the last financial year 2014 - 2015 in this report, because the office of the Comptroller and Auditor-General of Bangladesh did not finish audit of the statement.
