Enhancing data collection and analysis using digital tools, including the R2DRT and contributing to the Regional Outlook Dashboard. 4. Advocating for stronger legal protections to ensure HRDs are safeguarded at the national level. 5. Securing sustainable funding to support long-term HRD protection initiatives. 6. Extending the Regional Action Plan beyond 20251 The APF Human Rights Defenders Working Group remains committed to creating a safer and more supportive environment for HRDs. By leveraging key achievements and addressing remaining challenges, the Working Group aims to ensure that HRDs across the Asia Pacific region receive the protection and recognition they deserve.
