5. A general and unified questionnaire will be used in the process of
gathering information and statistics needed, one for institutions and
centers that serve and deal with persons with disabilities, and the other
for persons with disabilities themselves or their families.
6. The information contained in the technical working papers, as well as
the deliberations and outputs of the First National Conference on the
Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which was held in Amman on
November 2009, should be utilized.
7. The outputs of four training workshops in the different regions of the
Kingdom that targeted representatives of civil society institutions
working in this area, for the purposes of gathering information and
raising awareness of the importance of monitoring the International
Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and enhancing
their contribution to the monitoring process.
8. The main task of the NCHR centered on coordinating and assisting
the process of filling-out the questionnaires, monitoring and analyzing
violations, and implementing workshops in different regions of the
Kingdom.
Second: The Legislative Reality for Persons with Disabilities in Jordan
The Jordanian legislations addressed strengthening the rights of persons with
disabilities within a human framework based on equal rights and duties. The
Law on Rights of Persons with Disabilities No. 31 of 2007 came to embody
these concepts in certain frames that are linked to human and religious
values of our society. The said law is considered one of the oldest applicable
