Teacher’s questions:
1. As a person with a hearing disability, were you able to understand easily what was
said by your friends?
2. As a person with a hearing disability, was it easy for you to express your opinions and
thoughts to others?
3. As a person with a hearing disability, what were your feelings and expectations when
communicating with the others?
4. Do you know anyone who cannot speak?
5. Do you know anyone who cannot hear?
6. Would your behaviour be different if you come face to face with someone who
cannot speak or who cannot hear?
7. Would you try to help?
8. If yes, how?
9. If no, why?
Reflection:
The students give their opinions regarding their experience playing the role of a PWD. The
teacher in charge must take into consideration the sensitivities of students with disabilities.
This activity also provides exposure to students with disabilities of their right to education
without discrimination. Furthermore, we cannot indiscriminately label a person even if
he/she is a person with a disability.
