System for undocumented migrants subject to deportation A. Current status and problems • Many undocumented migrants become subject to forced deportation from the country due to the government’s policy related to crackdown and forced deportation targeting them. The number of undocumented migrants is expected to increase drastically by the deadline of period of stay of migrant workers who are covered by the current Work Permit System and the Working Visit System. There is a need to revise the relevant laws and regulations to improve the human rights infringement situation caused by law enforcement officials’ arbitrary judgment due to vague and wide-ranging legal requirements for forced deportation.
