48 The Constitution of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka Oath or affirmation of office Appointments by the President Interpretation 61D. A person appointed to any office referred to in this Chapter shall not enter upon the duties of his office until he takes and subscribes the oath or makes and subscribes 44[the affirmations set out in the Fourth and Seventh Schedules] to the Constitution. 45 [61E.
