RESEARCH Types of Social Protections Forms Labor Intensive Program Remarks The government has allocated IDR 16.9 trillion, which is given in cash for several works carried out by several Ministries: The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat/ PUPR) has allocated IDR 10.2 trillion cash for work targeted to 530,000 workers. The Village Fund is also allocated for labor-intensive programs for the unemployed, poor, and vulnerable people at the villages targeting 59,000 workers. Utility Relief Between April and June, the government provides mortgage and electricity payment relief as follows: Electricity in the amount of IDR 3.5 trillion to finance 24 million households or around 40% of the population with 450 VA connections. Meanwhile, for 900 VA connections, a 50% discount is given. A mortgage of IDR 1.5 trillion to support 175,000 lowincome households in the form of interest and down payment subsidy. Social Insurance Health Insurance IDR 3 trillion to finance the national health insurance scheme for 30 million unpaid workers. Employment Schemes Activation measure The Pre-Employment Card, a program that provides subsidized vouchers for the unemployed to improve skills, has a budget allocation of IDR 20 trillion from the previous IDR 10 trillion and was launched in April. The target of this program is 5.6 million informal workers and MSMEs. POLRI also provides a Safety Program targeting bus, truck, and taxi drivers. Allocated budget for this program is IDR 360 billion for 197,000 beneficiaries. 16
