Complaints Lodged with JAMAKON in 2014: During 2014, JAMAKON received a 4.2 Human Rights Monitoring and total of 635 complaints. Among these Investigation complaints, the Commission resolved or According to the NHRC Act, 2009 and the National Human Rights Commission Strategic Plan 2010-2015, one of the most important functions of JAMAKON is to inquire, suo-moto, or on the basis of a petition presented to it, into allegations of violation of human rights. JAMAKON has put great emphasis on this issue since its establishment. 18 disposed of 272 cases, while 363 cases remain pending. In most of the cases, the complaints concerned incidents of abuse of power, domestic violence, negligence/ inaction by government officials etc.
