My work was constantly criticised and micro-managed, my manager would yell at us all and would ignore our needs when we said anything. She was frequently unavailable but we would be blamed for not running things by her. Her manager behaved in similar ways and always backed her up. I attempted a meeting with both and was only asked to look at my responses, with no regard for their behaviours that I was responding to! With union support I asked to meet with higher-ups but then resigned and a meeting was not offered.” 40-49 year old Māori woman, who was working in the health care and social assistance sector Base: Respondents who made a formal complaint – any impact (358), large or extremely negative impact (163) Q31c How satisfied were you with how well the person or organisation responded to your complaint? 56 KANTAR PUBLIC 2022
