However, four in every five families (80.2%) did not practice any method or treatment in ensuring that drinking water is safe to drink.149 170 Across regions, NCR (99.4%) had the highest percentage of families which had access to basic service level of drinking water, followed by Region I-Ilocos (98.4%), and Region III-Central Luzon (97.4%). Regions with lesser access to basic service level were BARMM (73.3%), Region IX-Zamboanga Peninsula (86.0%), and Region VII-Central Visayas (88.8%).
