67 07. Enlighten all the candidates about the laws (Sections) of the Acts relating to election and advising to refrain from offences, corruption and illegal activities. B. General Conduct 01. Refrain from any activity which could aggravate differences, hatred and tension between different religions observed by Sri Lankan communities and their spoken languages, races, customs, etc. 02. Limit criticism of other political parties, their policies, programs and their past activities and refrain from criticizing personal life of candidates or making statements on allegations not proved against rivals of its own party or rival candidates. 03. Select candidates who can devote themselves to the future well-being of the citizens of Sri Lanka by fulfilling the objectives of the constitutional bodies to which they are to be elected and by conducting the campaign in a disciplinary and obedient manner. 04. In selection of candidates, their conduct and good behavior, respect for the law, devotion to serve the society etc. need to be considered.
