Time 30 mins Resources Large sheets of paper or whiteboard, Sticky notes (two colours), markers pens, pre-prepared questions Timing Activity 5 minutes Setting the scene Explain the purpose of the exercise - to develop ideas that will inform the NHRI’s gender strategy vision and purpose statement. Overview the following definitions: •T  he Vision sets out what you want to achieve in order for there to be equality for all genders. •Y  our purpose statement is what your NHRI strives to do in order to achieve your vision. Questions: 1. What does gender equality in our NHRI and society look like in the future? (Vision) 2. Why is it important that our NHRI works towards gender equality? (purpose statement) 5 minutes Individual reflection Participants reflect (individually) on the two questions. Give each person two different-coloured sticky notes: •O  ne colour for vision ideas •O  ne colour for purpose statement ideas Participants write one idea on each sticky note.
