The parents of children with disabilities in Jordan are appreciated generally for their commitment to create, care for, educate and raise their children, making them able to cope with the burdens of life and break through the barriers that prevent their effective participation in society. Despite that, some violations committed by some parents against their children with disabilities were recorded, mostly due to social ends such as hiding them in order to avoid social stigmatization or failure of society, outside the walls of the household, to accept the idea of dealing with persons with disabilities or those who have a direct relationship with them, like sisters who are not proposed to by males for marriage because of the fear of having children with disabilities in the future. As for economic reasons, the HCAPD and the Ministry of Social Development exerted tremendous and continuous efforts to support the cost of assistive devices and audio-visual and physical aids to make them affordable for poor families with persons with disabilities, in view of facilitating the ways of communication, integration and harmony between members of the community. In this connection, the following observations can be mentioned: 1. The problem of the persons with disabilities, especially with severe disabilities, becomes aggravated after the death of their parents, as free care and accommodation services are provided to the needy of this category of the community through both the public and voluntary sectors.
