The National Commission for Human Rights of Pakistan was established by law in 2012 with a mandate to promote and protect human rights according to the 1973 Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and international human rights instruments.
The Commission has a head office in Islamabad headed by the Chairperson, with regional offices in Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta and Karachi. Each regional office consists of provincial members who have an extensive knowledge of human rights issues in their province.
