In addition, the Commission tries to
implement the UN Guiding Principles
on Business and Human Rights. The
preparation of this SNP can contribute
to creating a norm ecosystem that encourages corporate compliance with
human rights and the environment.
Moreover, the preparation of the SNP
is also expected to provide guidance
to the Government and civil society to
encourage business responsibility to
comply with human rights values. It is
expected that the preparation of the
SNP on Business and Human Rights
will contribute as shown in the diagram below:

After the enactment of Presidential
Regulation Number 60 of 2023 concerning the National Strategy for Business and Human Rights, it is expected
that the SNP on Business and Human
Rights will complete the ecosystem
for business and human rights norms
in Indonesia. The development of the
Business and Human Rights norms
ecosystem cannot be separated from
the initiation of Komnas HAM RI to
issue Komnas HAM Regulation Number 1 of 2017 concerning Ratification
of the National Business and Human
Rights Action Plan. This business and
human rights regulation is the trajectory of Komnas HAM’s work in creating an ecosystem for business and
human rights regulation in Indonesia.
