A POWERFUL VOICE FOR JUSTICE
Since August 2017, around 700,000 Rohingya refugees have fled Myanmar in search of safety and protection in
Bangladesh. The National Human Rights Commission of Bangladesh has made regular visits to the refugee camps of
Cox’s Bazaar to record the testimonies of refugees and to monitor conditions in the camps. The Commission has been
a powerful voice calling for justice for Rohingya refugees, especially those women and girls who have experienced
sexual violence.
