from the Israeli blockade. The recent Israeli aggression exacerbated the already
deteriorating situation of education facilities in the Gaza Strip11.
The Israeli aggression has killed (63) children and injured hundreds of others12, most
of them were schoolchildren. Certainly, injuries will greatly affect students' ability to
enroll in the educational process. The government media office in the Gaza Strip also
reported severe and partial damage to (57) schools and health facilities, due to the
massive Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip13. The massive destruction of the
infrastructure affects students' ability to enroll in their schools or adhere to distance
education programs, due to long outages of power, telephone lines, and the internet in
large areas of the Strip. This comes as many school students are preparing to take final
exams, scheduled soon after Eid al-Fitr14.
