Complaint No - Dha 53/20 Ms. Rabeya (Pseudonym) lodged complaint that her drug addicted husband tortured her and he did not give any money for her maintenance. He tortured her after being provoked by her mother-in-law, sister in-law and brother-in-law. They also gave threat to Kill her. The complainant was an official of Sonali Bank. Due to domestic violence, she was suffering in her workplace too. Despite filing FIR, she could not get any remedy. NHRC's settlement bench arranged for hearing and mediated between them. They are now peacefully living. Complaint No. - Dha - 143/20 Ms. Rosy (Pseudonym) lodged complaint that after her husband's death, her brother and sister- in-laws took away their furniture’s and tried to evict her from her husband’s home. Being failed, they disconnected the electricity and water connection. When her husband was alive, husband's siblings distributed their 6 storeyd building among ourselves. She built a house in the top floor with her husband’s money. As per the instruction of NHRC, DNCC verified and found that there was no electricity connection in her home. NHRC mediaton bench arranged for hearing between the parties and concerned officials of DESCO and the electricity connection was restored. Complaint No. - Dha - 157/21 Ms. Fatema (pseudonym) lodged complaint that she was tortured by her husband and people of her in-laws. Her husband took dowry from her father and was demanding for more money. 48 NHRC mediation bench mediated between them. Complaint No. Dha – 49/19 Complainant 'A' lodged complaint that they wanted to enlist Mirzapur Tasauf Madrasa in waqf Estate in 2014. But it was not enlisted. They communicated with the concerned authorities many times but did not get any response. In response to the letter sent by the NHRC, the waqf administration informed that the Madrasa had been enlisted. Complaint No. - Dha - 60/20 'A' Complained that 15 employees were dismissed from their job and still they had not got their dues in Olympia Bakery and confectionary ltd. They all are leading miserable lives. In response to the letter from NHRC, Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishment informed that they inspected the factory of that company and the Manager of that company cooperated during inspection. He showed the letter of agreements and other necessary documents related to the dues of 15 dismissed employees. Mr. 'A' informed NHRC that the company had paid their dues. Complaint No. Dha - 89/21 Md. Shoriful Islam, Head of Migration Program, Brac lodged complaint that a recruiting agency M/S. Golam Rabbi International sent Moriam Akter to Mauritius in the name of giving her a work as Garments operator. They gave her job at Fire Mount Textile. Canteen Director of that Textile took her to the home of the owner Anil Koli and he along with Anil Koli raped her. They
