These families were living in this area for 20 years. Christian authority sold the land to Christian Cooperative Housing Society. The Society published advertisement for selling the land and they were asking high price which was unbearable by the ethnic minorities who were living in that land. NHRC sent letter to Deputy Commissioner of Rajshahi to take legal action. DC reported that the owner of that land was church authority. Thus, it was not possible to arrange shelter for the ethnic minorities in that land. Government could buy that land and then handed over to these landless people. The mission authority promised that no landless family would be evicted until the matter was resolved in a peaceful way.
