Rumah Sejahtera/Pondok Sejahtera
There are 103 rumah/pondok sejahtera in the Peninsula and the
management of these services is by non-governmental agencies.

Rumah Tunas Bakti
The service is provided for persons of 60-years and above; do not have
families or families could not afford to take care of him/herself; able
to look after him/herself; based on voluntary admission and the older
persons are living together as a big family.

Rumah Seri Kenangan within Community
The concept is an outreach programme based on the concept of
responsibility sharing with the community.

Bantuan Orang Tua (BOT)/Senior Citizen Financial Aid
The Government also provides financial aid of RM300 per month
for older persons who are poor and without family or have family
members but are unable to offer any support.46 Data by the
Department of Social Welfare Malaysia show that there is an
increasing number of persons receiving the said financial aid as
shown in Table 10 and Table 11 together with the graph charts below.
