of their Situation Amid the Pandemic,
Lockdowns, and Quarantines
The ECQ & MECQ made the family bond together since everyone was at home.
Some families also had the opportunity to improve and clean their homes;
grow a backyard vegetable garden to meet their food needs; grow spiritually,
rest, and give importance to their health; and, learn how to save and budget.
ECQ made them feel safer as they have to stay at home to avoid catching
the coronavirus.
During the transition from the stricter ECQ or MECQ to GCQ, women with
disability also shared that they felt that there is a good chance for them or
their family member to work again, with the opening of establishments, and
to avail of transportation services making their mobility possible. However,
they also felt fear and uneasiness if they or a member of the family would be
going outside for work as there is still a big possibility of catching the virus.
