Adoption by States Parties of special measures, including those measures contained in the present Convention, aimed at protecting maternity shall not be considered discriminatory. ข้อ 7 รัฐภาคีจะใช๎มาตรการที่เหมาะสมทุกประการ เพื่อขจัดการเลือกปฏิบัติตํอสตรีในด๎านที่เกี่ยวกับ การเมืองและทั่วๆ ไปของประเทศ และโดยเฉพาะอยํางยิ่งจะให๎ประกันแกํสตรีภายใต๎เงื่อนไขแหํงความ เสมอภาคกับบุรุษซึ่งสิทธิ (ก) ที่จะออกเสียงในการเลือกตั้งและลงประชามติทั้งปวง และมีสิทธิที่จะได๎รับเลือกตั้งเข๎าไปใน องค์กรที่มีการเลือกตั้งอยํางเปิดเผยทั้งมวล (ข) ที่จะเข๎ารํว มในการวางนโยบายของรัฐบาลและดาเนินการตามนโยบายนั้น และในการรั บ ตาแหนํงราชการและปฏิบัติหน๎าที่ราชการในทุกๆ ระดับของรัฐบาล (ค) ที่จะเข๎ารํวมในองค์การและสมาคมที่ไมํได๎เป็นของรัฐบาลที่ทาหน๎าที่ เกี่ยวข๎องกับความเป็นอยูํ ทั่วๆ ไป และที่เกี่ยวกับการเมืองของประเทศ Article 7 States Parties shall take all appropriate measures to eliminate discrimination against women in the political and public life of the country and, in particular, shall ensure to women, on equal terms with men, the right: (a) To vote in all elections and public referenda and to be eligible for election to all publicly elected bodies; (b) To participate in the formulation of government policy and the implementation thereof and to hold public office and perform all public functions at all levels of government; (c) To participate in non-governmental organizations and associations concerned with the public and political life of the country. ข้อ 8 รัฐภาคีจะใช๎มาตรการที่เหมาะสมทุกอยําง เพื่อให๎ประกันแกํสตรีภายใต๎เงื่อนไขแหํงความเสมอภาค กัน กับ บุ รุ ษและโดยไมํมีการเลื อกปฏิบั ติใดๆ ซึ่งโอกาสที่จ ะเป็นผู๎ แทนรัฐ บาลของตนในระดั บระหวํา ง ประเทศ และเข๎ารํวมในงานขององค์การระหวํางประเทศ Article 8 States Parties shall take all appropriate measures to ensure to women, on equal terms with men and without any discrimination, the opportunity to represent their Governments at the international level and to participate in the work of international organizations.
