Making decisions
People with disability have the right to make
their own decisions.
They have the right to have support to make
decisions.
This is called equal recognition before
the law.
Some Australian laws say some people
with disability do not have the right to make
decisions.
For example guardianship laws.
We recommend
Australia brings in a supported decision
making law so everyone with disability has the
right to make decisions.
