In addition to human rights initiatives within in Taiwan, the NHRC understands the need to engage in collaboration and exchanges with international human rights organizations to listen to other countries’ opinions and learn from their practical experience, which can ensure that the NHRC stays informed of international human rights standards. Significance 2. 1) Active participation in international human rights initiatives: 1. Establishing an international affairs advisory team to increase participation in international human rights initiatives. 2. Fostering collaboration and exchanges with international organizations and other national human rights institutions on important topics in human rights covenants and the NHRC’s topics of concern through participation in international seminars, international organizations/meetings, and on-site visits. 3.
