In addition, the NHRC, India invites the Chairperson of the National Commission for the Protection of Child Rights as a ‘Special Invitee’ to all its Statutory Full Commission Meetings since the NCPCR has a significant bearing on all issues concerning the rights of children. 5.7 The Statutory Full Commission meetings are convened regularly to discuss the issues of common interest and participate in the conference/seminars of the Commission. The last meeting of the Statutory Full Commission was held on 27.11.2018 in the Commission to discuss the comprehensive and punitive measures to protect the members of Scheduled Tribes from the atrocities, Sexual Harassment of women at workplace, Right of women workers and Children in unorganized sector and also to discuss the mechanism of Interlinking of Complaint Management System (CMIS) of NHRC with the Deemed Member Commissions. Ratho, Joint Secretary, National Commission for Scheduled Tribes and Shri Sudhir Chandra, Director, NIC. 5.8 A range of issues was discussed at the meeting, i.e. (i) Comprehensive and punitive measures to protect the members of Scheduled Tribes from atrocities as per provisions in the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989; (ii) Sexual Harassment of women at workplace; (iii) Rights of Women workers in unorganized Sector; (Iv) All the Commissions i.e. National Commission for Scheduled Caste, National Commission for Scheduled Tribe, National Commission for Women and National Commission for Minorities while taking care of the interest / issues of the specific segments of population are especially required to take care of the interests of Children belonging to these segments of population; (v) Sharing research studies recently Commissioned by NHRC and (vi) Interlinking of the Complaint Management Information System (CMIS) of NHRC with the National Commission. 5.9 The major recommendations emanating out of the meeting on 27.11.2018 have been circulated to Secretaries of all stakeholders for information and necessary action.
