This work would not have seen light of the day had it not been for

First of all, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Justice
(Smt.) Sujata V. Manohar, the then Hon’ble Member and Focal Point on
Human Rights of Women including Trafficking, NHRC under whose
expert guidance this work has taken shape. The discussions I have had
with her provided me with conceptual clarity and overall framework
required for analysing the international legal regime on trafficking in
