Chapter Four: Main Issues Related to Human Rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain Introduction The issue of human rights is like other issues which are influenced by the conditions and variables affecting society, whether those variable are of a positive character advancing the standards of respect for human rights in the State, or of a negative character rendering those rights exposed to violation, and those conditions and variables could be the result of security or political or economic events, or a result of violations and transgressions. This Chapter will entail seven sections, the first one of which addresses the situation of human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the second section the recommendations of the NIHR concerning the development of the Reform and Rehabilitation Center for the inmates (Jaw), and the third section the right to equality and non-discrimination in enjoyment of rights, and the fourth section the right to enjoy guarantees to a fair trial and the subset of them in terms of relevant rights, while the fifth section concerns the right to nationality given that it is one of the elements of the legal personality, and the six section is about the right to freedom of opinion and expression and access to information and the right to privacy, and finally the seventh section treats the right to residence and to movement, while focusing on the persons prohibited to travel, and the category of residents concerning whom court decisions were taken prohibiting them to travel as a result of financial claims. ‫اﻟﺘﻘﺮﻳﺮ اﻟﺴﻨﻮي اﻟﺜﺎﻟﺚ‬ ‫ﻟﻠﻤﺆﺳﺴﺔ اﻟﻮﻃﻨﻴﺔ ﻟﺤﻘﻮق اﻧﺴﻨﺎم‬ ‫ ـ ﻣﻤﻠﻜﺔ اﻟﺒﺤﺮﻳﻦ‬2015 ‫ﻟﻌﺎم‬ 73
