These programs can be discussed under two broad headings, namely, Policy Related Programs, and Disadvantaged Group’s Human Rights Related programs. Policy-Related Programs: The Chairman and the Full Time Member participated in the Annual Meeting of Commonwealth Forum of NHRIs (CFNHRI) and the 27th Annual Meeting of the International Coordinating Committee of National Institutions for Promotion and Protection of Human Rights (ICC) in Geneva, Switzerland in March 2014. As a result, the JAMAKON initiated a number of actions including: preparing a schedule to follow-up on the commitments made by Bangladesh in its 2nd cycle UPR; organizing stakeholders meeting as a part of follow-up process; consulting with Line Ministries; organizing a workshop to evaluate Bangladesh compliance with different UN HR Treaties; preparing a draft report and sharing with stakeholders (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Line Ministries) and submitting JAMAKON Report to HRC. Apart from these, as many as seven international programmes were attended by the Chairman, Full-Time Member and other Honorary Members of the JAMAKON. In addition, the Chairman and the Full Time Member visited Geneva, Switzerland to participate in the 27th regular session of the Human Rights Council and 12th session of the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities from 23-26 September 2014. A delegation of 5 members attended the 19th Annual meeting of the Asia Pacific Forum of National Human Rights Institutions held on 3-5 September 2014 in Delhi, India headed by Chairman of JAMAKON.
