Meeting of this committee was held on 24 January 2021. As per the decision of the committee letter was sent to the Secretary of Election Commission to ease the process of giving NID to transgender and sex workers with following recommendations: (a) Process of identifying sex in NID and changing sex should be made easy. (b) Opportunity of changing sex identity, Name and Photo of transmen/Women should be there. (c) Ensuring NID for sex workers by making the process easier. It should be noted that drafting of the Transgender Rights and Protection Act is under process. Meeting of the Thematic Committee on Religious Minorities and Non-citizens Rights: Meeting of this committee was held on 05 August 2021. Land rights issues of ethnic minorities and other minority communities were discussed in the meeting. A committee had been formed to send recommendations to government that would identify the discriminations and problems on this topic. The committee will prepare a roadmap and send recommendations to government accordingly. The committee had prepared a draft report. Besides, as per the decision of the committee the commission sent recommendation to the Cabinet Secretary for replacing the name of the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs to the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities of CHT and Plain Lands Affairs. In addition, discussion was held on way forward to protecting rights of religious minorities and non-citizens.
