In response to the letter from NHRC, the Statistics and Information Management Department informed that they had resolved the matter and started giving pension to Mr. A. Complaint No- 22/19 'B' complained that he sent his sister to Saudi Arab for financial needs. But she became victim of torture there and 'B' could not even be able to communicate with his sister. He sought NHRC’s interaction for getting his sister back with all dues and salary. In response to the letter sent from NHRC, the Ministry of Overseas Welfare and Employment informed that the victim had returned to Bangladesh. Complaint No- 83/19 BLAST drew attention of the NHRC on the news report published in the newspaper “Jugantor” titled “Head Mistress cut hair”. In that report, it was mentioned that 13 students did not tie their hair properly and for this reason, the Head Mistress cut their hair. The parents asked about the matter to the teachers but the teachers misbehaved with them. In response to the letter sent from NHRC, Deputy Commissioner of Shariatpur informed that departmental case had been lodged against the teacher and she was reprimanded. 50 Complaint No- 11/19 'A' lodged complaint that BCSIR authority dismissed him for no reason. Later on, Members Finance & Chairman Grievance Committee BCSIR Dhaka restored his job. He did not withdraw his money from CP Fund for the hope of regaining the job. Still he could not get his money. In response to the letter from NHRC, BCSIR authority informed that they had paid his money saved in CP fund. Complaint No- Dha. 77/19 BLAST drew attention to the NHRC on the newspaper report on “Childhood of 03 Teenagers bound in iron chains”. published in Daily Ittefaq Online. According to the report, Madrasa Super Arifullah used to chain the 03 students 24 hours. In response to the letter from NHRC, UNO of Kaliganj, Gazipur reported that the allegation against Madrasa Super was proved true. Accordingly following steps were taken: (1) 03 chained students made free and handed over to their guardians. (2) Madrasa Super was suspended for 03 months immediately. (3) Upazilla Social Service officer, Kaliganj, Gazipur, UP Chairman and Member were given responsibility to monitor the situation of all the Madrasa of that area so that no such incidence occur in future and no anti-state activism could be held.
