Komnas HAM, Indonesia UNCRPD Written Contribution
has not been fully prioritized by the Indonesian government. The innovations introduced
in several regions to promote access to public services for persons with disabilities are
endorsed by DPOs who work actively in raising awareness about disability among
regional government officials. Meanwhile, in remote and underdeveloped regions,
access to public services remains a great challenge for persons with disabilities. Komnas
HAM calls for serious attention to this particular issue and encourages an affirmation
action to promote access to public services, especially in remote and underdeveloped
