Bahrain
An independent Institution is established named “The National Institution for Human Rights”
responsible for promoting and protecting human rights, and consolidating its values and
contributing to securing its practice.

Indonesia
The National Commission on Human Rights aims to:
a. Develop conditions conducive to the execution of human rights in accordance with
Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, the United Nations Charter, and the Universal Declaration
of Human Rights; and,
b. Improve the protection and upholding of human rights in the interests of the personal
development of Indonesian people as a whole and their ability to participate in several
aspects of life.

Mongolia
‘The National Human Rights Commission’ means independent and autonomous national
institution charged with monitoring over the implementation of the provisions on human
rights and freedoms and provided in the Constitution of Mongolia, laws and international
treaties of Mongolia and mandated with the protection and promotion of human rights.

Republic of Korea
The purpose of this Act is to contribute to the embodiment of human dignity and worth as
well as to the safeguard of the basic order of democracy, by establishing the National Human
Rights Commission to ensure that inviolable, fundamental human rights of all individuals are
protected and the standards of human rights are improved.
